Holiday Weekend?

Are you staying the weekend? We love Sonoma and hope that those of you coming from afar (ah hemmm all my Chicago and Orange County peeps) get to experience Sonoma to the fullest. Here are some links to help your visit. Make sure you make it to the square and get to walk around at the very least! That is how Timothy and I spent several of our first dates!

Best in Sonoma gives a comprehensive overview of the Sonoma Valley including Wineries, Restaurants and Things to Do. Also you will find an Events Calendar and directions to Sonoma. Learn more about the valley's history and many great parks.

The Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau also provides online information about the valley. They also have a printed guide which will be sent to you if you request one.

The city of Sonoma has a classic historic center known as the Plaza. On the Plaza there are many shops and restaurants and a town treasure, the Sebastiani Theater. See a movie in a landmark building and feel some of the ambiance of an older time. For their schedule visit:

Where to stay?

Wondering where to stay? Here is up to date info on places to stay in the area:
Because our wedding is on a holiday weekend and is schedule during the peak of the wine valley's harvest season,
there seems to be no more rooms available at any of the hotels in Sonoma. Also most of the VRBO houses are booked. However, orbitz, expedia and kayak.com have rooms left at several hotels in Sonoma and at this point we recommend you booking your hotel through these sites. You may need to stay in a city nearby. Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Napa are options. Please call us if you are having difficulty finding accomodations.
